In search for new trends and opportunities Picking Alpha is addressing the growing trend in Investments: Venture Philanthropy. In order to dissect the issue and get clear picture for investors and businesses we have addressed to Bernard Uyttendaele, CEO of European Venture Philanthropy Association (EVPA). Venture Philanthropy and Social Investments market in Europe has grown by 30% in the past three years and at the moment market participants have already invested 6.5 Billion Euros in the projects. Though within the overall global trend in all Venture Investments the individual amounts invested have dropped by 2%.
We started our research with the following questions:

Bernard Uyttendaele joined EVPA as new Chief Executive in August 2016. Uyttendaele knows both the non-profit and business worlds. He started his career as Credit Manager and Treasurer at Otis Elevator Company in Belgium and France before becoming CFO and Deputy Director in the Netherlands.
