Max Schulman, Chairman of the Cereals & Oilseeds working group, COPA COGECA was one of the key-speakers at the conference Farm Management: Innovations & Financing, organized by PickingAlpha in partnership with COPA COGEA and Toscana Region Representative Office. It was held in Brussels, May 5, 2017.
In his speech in the Policy Panel and Concluding remarks Max Schulman paid a special attention to the ways of organizing Big Data sharing in farming, in particular he said, that “COPA COGECA and other important stakeholders work with the European Commission on creating “Code of Conduct inside the Agriculture” on how to go forward with the Big Data sharing. So that we will be able to put strong legislation in place, at the same time we want to find out where do we already have this legislation on utilizing Big Data”. He pointed out that today we have a wide spectrum of technologies to be used for agriculture, as for example already existing space technologies which can have a wide impact on the competitiveness and profitability of agriculture. They can serve farmers in a number of their activities to handle their challenges.
